This is bigger than I thought. It is a whole new approach to teaching, summed up in the phrase 'a guide by the side' rather than a 'sage on the stage'. Also, a lot of what I have heard to day could be applied in the classroom, in terms of how to engage students, get them working with each other, and assessing what they have achieved. I want to know more about how groups of students interact online, and some of the social norms that guide their behaviour - whether it is different online to classroom. Or do the ones who are subdued in class speak up online, or is it always the same ones who step up with opinions?

Hi Duffy,
This is where you give roles to your starters, spongers and lurkers... :)
